Investigations

Adoption Investigations

Let an Adoption Investigator's experience and resources help you in your search. Are you looking for your birth parents or maybe a child you put up for adoption? Are you stuck and don't know where to go? We work with adoption experts and DNA experts that can help you find your long lost loved ones. Each adoption in unique and the laws vary by state but we have had great success in reuniting adoptees with their birth parents and siblings.

Activity Checks

We offer direct or indirect activity checks. For direct activity checks we will contact the claimant and schedule a time, meet with them and document our findings. We will discuss the claimant’s current health situation, living situation, any physical activities or restrictions they may have and take a still photograph of the claimant and residence. We also offer a more discreet activity check where no contact is made with the claimant. During the indirect activity check, our investigators canvass the neighborhood to determine the claimant’s current activities. In addition, we will also indirectly speak to the claimant regarding his or her current health situation and current activities. A comprehensive report is provided which details the observations of our professionals along with any supporting materials.

Alive & Well Checks

This face to face interview will confirm that your claimant is still alive and receiving their disability checks. We will verify their identify through a State issued ID and confirm their Social Security number, address and telephone number. We will ask if they are currently working, their daily activities, limitations and their overall health and well being. We will also inquire about their plan of treatment, current physicians and medications, receiving any other income; Social Security or pension. We will ask if they are currently receiving their checks on time and if they interested in a settlement. A photograph of the claimant and residence will also be obtained.

Claims Investigations

We will examine each claim on a case by case basis to help you get a more accurate account of the incident. We will red flag any suspicious claim and launch an immediate investigtion.  We provide support in all claims handling by conducting witness interviews, taking recorded statements and obtain evidence to help in the claims handling process.

Corporate Investigations

We will thoroughly investigate business operations and try to find out whether a business partner is legitimate and help you determine if a merger makes sense or whether or not fraud exists or embezzlement is going on. We can conduct criminal background checks, driving records or credit checks on your employees or associates.

Criminal Investigations

We can help you in your criminal investigation by collecting and gathering evidence for a case or specific purpose. One of our Criminal Investigators will look for clues and evidence to determine whether the crime actually took place. If a crime has been committed, we will look into the background of the accused and may try to uncover who actually commited the crime. This may include taking photos or video of the scene, talking to victims, obtaining police reports, court records, talking to witnesses or taking recorded statements.

Domestic Investigations

Cheating Spouse

Do you suspect your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife is cheating? Maybe you’ve had this suspicion for days, weeks, months or even years.  Something is off between you and your spouse, and you’re beginning to wonder if they may be cheating. You tell yourself that other people have affairs, but it can't happen to you. You convince yourself that you’re just being paranoid and you’re crazy for thinking like that! But that nagging feeling or constant doubt lingers in your head.

I always tell potential clients that if you find yourself wanting to speak to or hire a private investigator, your suspicions are probably right. In my experience, most people need to see physical evidence such as pictures or video in order for them to believe it and then they feel they can end the relationship. See signs of a

There are many ways we can help you get the answers that you seek. If you're married or the vehicle is registered in your name, I typically recommend placing a live GPS tracker on the vehicle. This helps aid surveillance efforts because people typically have a pattern and frequent the same spots. If your significant other is very cautious, this also allows an investigator to wait in the shadows and eases the cheaters mind that they weren't followed.  The GPS trackers update every 10 seconds and are accurate within a few feet.

Child Custody

Are you in the midst of a custody battle? If you are going through a divorce or separation, a child custody investigation can help make sure that the child involved stay safe. A parent or court may want a child custody investigator to determine what the childs experience is like with a custody or non-custody parent. This typically means conducting surveillance while the other parent has custody. Sometimes, investigations of parents reveal neglect, child abuse, alcoholism or drug abuse. If you have a court order with guidelines the other parent is supposed to follow or you suspect your child may be in danger, please do not hesitate to have this matter investigated.

Fraud Investigations

Worker's Compensation

Workers compensation is a large crime in America today. Tens of billions of dollars in false claims are stolen every year. By scamming the system, these claimant's are forcing businesses to pay higher premiums and they pass the high costs onto their policyholders. Consumers will now pay higher prices for goods/services, workers will lose jobs because businesses might have to reduce their workforce. Business owners may stop or reduce an employee's pay by offsetting these added expenses. Higher premiums depress a company's income, lowers employee productivity, and force some companies to go out of business. Some workers comp programs are government-run. Thus they're supported by tax dollars. This means your tax dollars are being stolen each and every year. For those states that don't use tax dollars, think about this; a fraudulent claim is won in court. Now they have proven their disability and can now go down to their local Social Security Office, show them the paperwork and get Social Security Disability, which is tax dollars. So everyone loses! Do you ever wonder who picks up the slack when a fellow worker leaves the job with a fake injury? Fellow workers, will have to pull extra duty or the company is forced to conduct additional hiring. We can help you identify possible fraudulent claims and develop a plan of action to limit your exposure.

Auto Accident (PIP Claims)

Insurance fraud is a huge problem in the United States and the people who commit it are incredibly creative. Some stage accidents  by suddenly hitting their brakes in the hopes you'll hit them so they can fake an injury. Others will be involved in an auto accident and make a claim that they're hurt when they're really not. Some will also claim that they're more hurt than they really are. These types of scams cost us tens of billions of dollars a year and unfortunately, are becoming pretty common. Some of this can be blamed  on our poor economy. People are resorting to desperate measures to bring in a little extra cash. Auto insurance fraud has risen dramatically and so has the number of people who believe cheating their insurer is acceptable practice. We can help you help expose these fraudulent claims.

Personal Injury

Personal injury fraud as it pertains to home or business is an act where the chief motive is financial gain. An injury that is nonexistent, exaggerated or unrelated to the accident would be covered by the policy but no matter the circumstances, personal injury insurance fraud is a crime. This type of fraud can be viewed as opportunistic or premeditated. Opportunistic personal injury insurance fraud if the most commonly an inflated claim. A health care professional sometimes exaggerates the severity of a patient’s injury in order to increase the claim amount. This can lead to more costly and unnecessary treatment. A person who is actually injured often exaggerates the extent of their injury or required recuperation time. If the insured is paying lost income, medical treatment or assisted home health care,, this can quickly become a huge expense. More often than not, the individual may just be seeking a paid vacation courtesy of the insurer. Premeditated personal injury insurance fraud is when someone devises a way to make an insurance claim. Premeditated fraud often involves some extreme action such as a person intentionally slips or falls down at neighbor's house, business, or sidewalk  and then collect benefits from the insurance company for a nonexistent injury. We can help you identify this types of claims and often recommend a round of surveillance.

Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI)
What is PMI? Most homeowners pay each month into an escrow for taxes and insurance. These escrow payments, together with an amount for principal and interest, make up the monthly mortgage payment. However, a significant number of homeowners also pay another type of charge each month known as “PMI,” or Private Mortgage Insurance. PMI typically is required for conventional loans when the homeowner makes a down payment of less than 20%. PMI protects the lender (not the borrower) from losing money when a homebuyer defaults on a mortgage loan. According to industry standards, since 1991 annual operating profits in the PMI industry have skyrocketed more than 500% to $2.7 billion. What tends to happen with PMI Fraud is the lending company or buyer often inflates/lies about their income in order to get approved for a loan. What happens is if the buyer defaults on the loan, PMI is responsible for the balance. The lending institution gets the full purchase of the house because the PMI must pay all monies owed. Let us help you analyze these documents, identify fraudulent and inflated numbers and then develop a plan of action which typically includes witness statements and obtaining the contracts/records/documents to help you dispute the claim.

Missing Person Investigations:

Missing persons investigations are the best way to find out the truth about someone you can't find. Did your loved one vanish? Do think that the police aren't doing a good enough job or giving your case the time it deserves?

On average, more than 800,000 people are reported missing and entered into FBI's National Crime Information Center (NCIC) annually. Of these, 85%-90% are minors. These statistics do not include those who are unofficially missing such as those who have not been reported as missing persons.

One of the big problems with police-led missing persons searches is simply that the term missing persons is so narrow. Police will only begin looking for a missing child at a specific amount of time after the child was last seen and by that time, it may be too late if the child has been kidnapped by a pedophile or child killer. Police also do not have the resources to focus full time on your case, especially those who may have left voluntarily. After a period of time, the police will also stop looking and now your case becomes a cold case. I am not bashing law enforcement by any means, they simply just do not have the resources nor are they equipped to deal with the crime rates today. Anyone who wants real answers and a fast tracked investigation, typically will speak to a private investigator. A professional investigator will start looking for someone immediately and as long as it takes or you want them to.
